About CONNECT Switzerland

Mission

CONNECT Switzerland’s mission is to help companies of every size, from startups to large multi-nationals, innovate and grow by connecting them to the resources they need.

CONNECT Switzerland develops collaboration networks that support innovative technologies, products and companies at all stages of their development. We act as innovation brokers, connecting the right people and companies, so that it is easier and faster to commercialize new technologies, create and market innovative products, and grow the next generation of industry leading companies. Our goal is to help every company, regardless of size, reach its full innovation and growth potential by finding the right partners.

International Network

The CONNECT Story

The original CONNECT in San Diego, California, is widely regarded as the United States' most successful regional economic development program and one of the earliest "innovation brokers".

Since CONNECT's inception in 1985, San Diego has grown from a military, tourist and retirement community to a world technology leader in wireless communications and life sciences/biotech, launching over 300 startups each year and raising more venture capital than the entire Mid-West United States. Building on this experience assisting startups, CONNECT expanded its services to support the entire SME community in San Diego focused on successful product development and business innovation. The technology community in San Diego largely credits the work of CONNECT for developing the "culture of collaboration" that has made this level of community success possible.

The San Diego program has been imitated by similar U.S. programs in Boston, Chicago and New York City, as well as around the world, including other parts of Europe such as the United Kingdom, Sweden, Denmark and the Baltic republics. These international CONNECTs and related organizations often share similar structures and programs, but more importantly a similar culture of collaboration and innovation. CONNECT Switzerland is proud to be part of this international network and apply these same collaboration principles to promote innovation.
